A new series of Nobel Lectures (19911995), covering the fields of Physics, Chemistry, Physiology/Medicine, Economic Sciences, Peace and Literature, has just been published by World Scientific.
These volumes have been compiled and edited by eminent academics recommended by the Nobel Foundation, and consist of the lectures arranged by subject and in chronological order, with updated biographies of the laureates since they were awarded the Nobel Prize. Each volume will serve as a vital reference book, the paperback edition making the lectures more accessible.
The Nobel Prizes are awarded for humanity's greatest achievements. Each year the newly named laureates deliver lectures on the work that won them the Prizes.
World Scientific was awarded worldwide exclusive rights by the Nobel Foundation to publish in English and distribute the lectures in Physics, Chemistry, Physiology/Medicine, and Peace for the years 19711995; in Literature for 19681995; and in Economic Sciences (Sveriges Riksbank Prize, in memory of Alfred Nobel) for 19691995.
