Association of Research Libraries Meeting

ur World Scientific staff attended the Association of Research Libraries Meeting which was held on 15 - 18 March 2001 in Denver, Colorado. Approximately 2000 librarians and 170 exhibitors participated.

As e-journals and e-books are gaining popularity in the market, some of the librarians were interested in electronic publishing. World Scientific does have e-journals and e-books which are readily available.

Many librarians were also interested in our Nobel Lectures (both hard copy and CD-ROM versions).

American Physical Society Meeting

ur World Scientific staff once again took part in the annual March APS Meeting held this year in Seattle, Washington on 12 - 16 March. This time round, we had two booths, allowing many more participants to browse through our books. About 5000 top physicists from around the world were present.

Our staff who attended this meeting are happy to report that quite a number of our titles are well received - Physical Properties of Carbon Nanotubes, Statistical Physics: Statics, Dynamics and Renormalization, Elementary Electronic Structure and Applied Quantum Mechanics, among other titles.

The participants found our annual CD-ROM and physics catalogues informative. We will be participating in the next March APS meeting in Indiana.
