mperial College Press has recently relocated. The new office, at 27 Shelton Street , Covent Garden, London, is just a short stroll from the Opera House and Covent Garden’s bustling shopping and restaurant enclave, and is also close to the nearby underground station. This strategic move has brought about the overall enhancement of ICP’s publishing operations by allowing closer coordination with the existing editorial, marketing, IT and customer service functions of sister company World Scientific. ICP will, however, still be registered at London’s prestigious Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine as the College’s publishing arm, and will continue to work in close collaboration with the Advisory Board of distinguished Imperial College members.

ICP Manager Dr John Navas has also recently revamped the Press’ Internet site, making it more informative and user-friendly. The homepage is located at www.icpress.demon.co.uk. This site now contains a complete on-line catalogue and bookstore, information for prospective authors, and the full contact details of the ICP editorial team.

International Journal of Computational Engineering Science

Chief Editors:
J N Reddy (Texas A&M University)
K Y Lam (Institute of High Performance Computing, Singapore)
C S Krishnamoorthy (Indian Institute of Technology)

This journal is being launched in response to the rapid technological advances apparent in our era. Its aim is to enable academics, researchers, and engineering professionals to present their research and development works in several disciplines of engineering, including computational processes, computational science and engineering, and industrial applications. Engineering systems are likely to become even more complex, and this new journal will assist in the exploration and analysis of these remarkable changes as we approach the new millennium.

Engines of Prosperity
Templates for the Information Age

By Gerado R Ungson (University of Oregon, USA)
& John D Trudel (The Trudel Group, USA)

This current and authoritative book is the joint product of an academician and a business practitioner, who share a deep concern about the inadequacy of current models and practices. It examines the new environment and explores the underlying drivers — the “Engines of Prosperity” — that set the new rules of competitive rivalry. It provides timely advice for managers on how to operate in a world characterized by Information Age technology, rapid change, deepening global linkages, increasing returns to scale and the continuous unbundling of value chains.

Journal of Environmental Assessment Policy and Management

Editor-in-Chief:
William R SheateM (Imperial College)

As economies and societies further develop and advance, the environment unwittingly takes a beating as well. The aim of this journal is therefore to explore the various aspects of environmental assessment and management, and the identification of comprehensive approaches to environmental improvement, in efforts to prevent further degeneration of the environment. Major topics will address the law, policy and procedures, policy formulation, development and implementation, public participation, and the institutional basis for environmental assessment. This quarterly journal will be of interest to academics working in interdisciplinary fields across the social, natural and engineering sciences; policy and decision makers in government and its agencies, and environmental and consumer non-governmental organisations.
