orld Scientific has just launched its first e-proceedings website. Designed to enhance our service to conference organizers, it is more than just an electronic version of traditional proceedings - it features an interactive online forum for participants and visitors to discuss topics presented during a conference.
This website, in concert with our established facilities offering full preconference support through online submission and management of contributions, provides a total e-solution from the inception of your conference to its conclusion, and beyond. . .
Before the Conference
Contributors register with a username and password before submitting articles.
As many articles as desired can be uploaded to the predefined article categories of the conference; contributors can view, modify and delete their own contributions only.
Automatic e-mail notification is given to the administrators, who can view, modify and delete any of the submitted articles.
Administrators can query submitted articles based on the title, author's name or presentation sequence.
After the Conference
Speakers and participants can access papers from the conference anytime, anywhere.
The site acts as a forum where people can communicate about shared interests in real time.
Postconference discussions can continue for up to six months after the conference date.
Organizers can arrange to archive papers, allowing future participants to access papers presented at past conferences.
Contact details (e-mails of individuals and specific groups) of the speakers are provided online.
Organizers and speakers can obtain participants' feedback on a specific session or on the entire conference.
For each session, a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) section provides participants with answers to recurring questions.
Conference
American Physical Society Meeting 18 - 20 March 2002
At the recent APS annual conference held in Indianapolis, USA, which was attended by some 5300 participants and 104 exhibitors, we displayed over 200 titles. The well-received titles included: Applied Quantum Mechanics, Elementary Electronic Structure, Selected Papers of Richard Feynman, and Physical Properties of Carbon Nanotubes. Our staff were happy to talk to some of our authors who visited the booth.
