orld Scientific and Imperial College Press once again participated in the annual Frankfurt Book Fair, with staff from both companies represented.

Our staff took the opportunity to attend the various meetings organized by the International Association of Scientific, Technical and Medical Publishers to keep abreast of new developments in the industry. Much of the discussion among the scientific publishers was focussed on linking online journals by the first half of the year 2000. World Scientific and Imperial College Press are part of the pioneering group of publishers to implement this new online journal linkage system.

Besides selling translation rights, our staff also gathered feedback on our products and services. Many sales and distribution agencies expressed their interest in promoting World Scientific and Imperial College Press titles in their respective regions. Other publishers also sought the help of World Scientific to promote their titles in the Asia-Pacific region.
